The Irvington Education Foundation raises and distributes funds for programs—such as Starlab, Clearwater’s Classroom of the Waves, and the Jacob Burns Film Center’s Reel Change—that enrich the educational experience of the district’s children above and beyond the limits of the public school budget. The Irvington Education Foundation urges you to vote YES on the Irvington School District budget on May 21.
The IEF believes this budget helps ensure our children continue to get the quality education that our community has come to expect.
This year, more than ever, each vote counts: The budget adopted by the Board of Education requires a 60 percent “supermajority” to pass because it exceeds New York State’s “tax cap.”
Passage of this year’s budget is essential to maintaining the high quality of Irvington’s public schools – restoring essential positions and programs that were cut in previous years and dealing responsibly with unfunded state mandates and pension costs over which we as a district have no control.

“BRAIN CHALLENGE” LIVE GAME SHOW WAS A HUGE HIT!
March 15 was a fun Friday night, with Irvington families competing against one another for fabulous (and sometimes silly!) prizes in a live game show! Trivia contests, dumb physical challenges, and even name-that-tune rocked the Main Street School auditorium, raising money for the IEF’s popular education enrichment programs. This year’s Brain Challenge boasted a crowd twice the size of last year’s and we’d like to thank everyone who attended!
